  Storyline est un cadre de développement et d'animation du jeu. il englobe l'évolution de la Lore, les événements jeu de rôle, la Forge (les aspects techniques, Gameplay, interface utilisateur), la documentation et la communication interne et externe. Autrement dit, avec la Storyline, l'équipe Ryzom renoue avec les méthodes de travail de ses origines.

  La Storyline s'appuie sur les développements récents tels que les "événements dynamiques" (programmés avec ARK, puis lancés manuellement ou automatiquement), les puzzles, des améliorations d'ordre graphiques, géographiques ou architecturales, autant que sur le dynamisme et l'imagination de ses animateurs.

  Les périodes de développement sont d'abord regroupées en Saisons qui représentent chacune un pan de l'histoire. Chaque saison est divisée en épisodes qui se traduisent, pour les joueurs, par un ensemble d'événements jeu-de-rôle, récompensés ou non, et un certain nombre de tâches, de missions à accomplir en principe avant l'épisode suivant. Les objets, missions ou autres rites permanents qui auront été introduits durant l'épisode restent après sa conclusion.



Catégorisation :
Les pages et éventuellement les catégories qui auront un rapport direct ou indirect avec ce cadre seront catégorisées comme suit :

Category:Storyline : catégorie transversale, qui est catégorisée Catégorie:Ryzom, le jeu. Elle ne contient QUE des catégories sauf les pages qui modifient la "Storyline" elle-même (dont celle-ci).
Category:Storyline_Saison_1 :
Historiquement la saison 1 regroupe toute les modifications du jeu, jusqu'à l'année 2607 (Mai 2020)
Category:Storyline_Saison_2 tous les épisodes de la Saison dans le texte de la page ainsi que le nom de la saison (pour les recherches) et:
La Saison 2 commence en 2608 (Mai 2020)

  • Remarque 1 : S'il s'avère qu'une page est modifiée à chaque saison (Elyps ? ), elle devra être recatégorisée directement dans Category:Storyline
  • Remarque 2 : [À suivre], mentionné dans les pages concernées signifie que, la saison n'étant pas terminée, d'autres modifications sont possibles.

Le premier épisode de The Saga of Ryzom prend place sur la planète vivante Atys, aux confins de l'univers, où quatre civilisations tentent de soigner les blessures d'une tragédie apocalyptique.

Il y a trois générations de cela, les grandes civilisations d'Atys périrent durant le Grand Essaim sous les assauts de hordes kitins, balayant les galeries souterraines et marquant le début de la guerre, puis du génocide. Ryzom Forge, le projet collaboratif.

« La richesse de Ryzom, c'est ce que les joueurs et ceux qui l'aiment peuvent lui apporter. Pour cela, il faut leur en donner les moyens et l'occasion.»

Cette phrase résume à elle seule l'essence du projet : élargir le Power to Players au-delà du seul Roleplay et donner enfin à la communauté de Ryzom les moyens d'agir sur le jeu lui-même.
